My Majorca Holiday Makeup

My Majorca Holiday Makeup

Tanned skin? Fake freckles? All the glow? Hell yes. I live for holiday makeup. My everyday look for 10 days in the Spanish sun was super easy and I only took two lip products (I know)… Here’s what I wore and how I did it.

So the Glossier Priming Moisturiser is the first thing I reached for. I’ve sung it’s praises endlessly (here) so go give that a read if you want an in-depth review. It brightens my skin, smoothes the texture and all without feeling heavy or thick. It’s not something I’d reach for as an everyday moisturiser but it’s the perfect base for makeup. Actually, I did take a primer but accidentally took the emptier one and used it all up within the first two days. Thankfully, makeup sits beautifully on top of this so I could go without. The Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser is definitely my favourite tinted mosituriser. It has a pretty buildable and I’d say light to medium coverage. It 100% gives more coverage than any other I’ve tried and is super glowy but also lets your skin look like skin. It’s practical for every day use but if you’re aiming for full Kardashian this isn’t the one for you. Easy to blend too. The Collection Lasting Perfection is an oldie but a goodie. Has great coverage, staying power and is cheap as chips. I took two shades, 1 and 3 for my undereyes and blemishes. To set everything I took a new but quick favourite translucent powder – Maybelline Fit Me. It just sets everything beautifully and is the perfect happy medium of not too matte but not too oil-slick looking that a holiday needs.

I love Benefit Holla Bronzer and probably always will. It claims to be matte and is actually matte. It sits nicely on the skin and doesn’t go muddy. Easy to build up and blend. The perfect undertone. The only choice really. The Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso is no short of gorgeous. It has a subtle glow and suits my skin tone so much. It’s just very, very pretty and whilst the formula looks slightly chalky at first swatch – it looks really nice on the skin. I’ve been searching for a new highlighter for so long because my recent obsession with Queen Jamie Genevive has made me up my game. I have zero regrets of my impulse purchase. Mac Oh, Darling! Extra Dimension Skinfinish looked like it would be slightly too dark at first but actually looks stunning on the cheekbones. The glow is so real with this one. However, I personally think I’d use a lighter highlighter on the brow bone. The Zoeva Matte Palette was a wonderful birthday gift from Millie and I used this not only on my eyes but to create fake freckles because I think they look so good. I’m so jealous of anyone with natural freckles.

The palette is also so versatile for the eyes. Zoeva shadows blend so gorgeously and it’s one of those palettes where I’d genuinely use every colour in the palette. Plus, they’re affordable. For my brows I just went heavy with the Glossier Boy Brow as always. It’s changed my life. Crazy stuff. Same with the mascara, Glossier Lash Slick. I don’t know what I’d do without it now. It’s the best mascara I’ve ever tried and having an LVL lash lift before I went meant that it looked even better.

As I said, I only took two makeup bits for my lips with me. I picked up the Sephora Cream Lip Stain in 01 Always Red when I was in Paris last year. Being in Sephora is an experience my god. The self-restraint was so real. Anyway, this is a liquid lipstick formula but I find it really non-drying. It’s quite a creamy texture and the perfect red. Makes your teeth look amazing. The other babe is the Glossier Lip Gloss which is flawless. Long-lasting, shiny af and not tacky. I definitely reach for this a ton.
